Gas-free and energy-efficient

Our state-of-the-art cooling and forcing facilities in Wervershoof operate entirely without natural gas. Instead, we rely on electricity, much of which is generated by solar panels installed on our own premises. A combination of heat pump technology and an underground Thermal Energy Storage (TES) system provides efficient heating and cooling — sustainably and reliably.

Smart climate control

Our greenhouses are equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting and intelligent climate systems. Multi-layer screens and frequency-controlled ventilation help us optimize conditions while minimizing energy consumption. The result: consistent quality with a significantly reduced carbon footprint.

Caring for our surroundings

Sustainability goes beyond our greenhouses. As we expand, we actively consider our impact on the local environment. We limit light pollution, preserve green space, and separate traffic flows to reduce disruption. We’re even exploring the potential to supply surplus heat and energy to nearby residential areas in the future.
